Mike Neill – Head Coach  – 2000/2001 Team

Assistant – Taylor Shaw

Mike has been with the TNW program previously as a head coach in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Mike played his major junior hockey in Sault Ste. Marie (Greyhounds) and Windsor (Spitfires) of the OHL prior to getting drafted by the New York Islanders (3rd round, 57thoverall). Mike went on to play 3 season with the Islanders AHL (Springfield, Mass.) and IHL (Indianapolis, Ind.) affiliate teams along with an additional season for the Boston Bruins AHL (Portland, Maine) affiliate. Mike has coached AAA programs at the Peewee (U12), Bantam (U14) and Midget (U17) levels. Mike is a certified National Coach Mentor for Hockey Manitoba and continues to do work for them by assisting in their various programs (i.e. Rising Stars Program, Directors Cup Program, Program of Excellence..etc). Mike also performs coach certification clinics and specialty clinics (i.e. Developing Skilled Defensemen, Skating, Shooting and Scoring..etc) for Hockey Manitoba as well.

Nick Fuher – Head Coach – 2002 Team

Assistant – Neil Pionk

Nick is a Team Northwest 1981 birth year alumni, originally from Grand Forks, North Dakota. He has been coaching for Team Northwest over 10 years. Nick played the 2001-2005 seasons for the University of North Dakota, appearing in the 2005 NCAA National Championship game. Nick played in the AHL with the Utah Grizzlies 2004 -2005. After his hockey career, he began coaching with the Lincoln Stars (USHL), and Winkler (MJHL) before joining the Penticton Vees, a Jr. A  hockey team in the BCHL, of which he was with for 3 seasons. Nick currently is the assistant coach for The Rink Hockey Academy in Manitoba, CA. We welcome Nick back to Team Northwest again this summer!

Brad Purdie  – Head Coach – 2003 Team 

Assistant – Logan Judnick

Brad is currently coaching the Bantam prep academy team at the RINK Hockey Academy in Winnipeg, Manitoba, as well as being the Director of the Academy 15 years. HIs professional playing experience consists of the AHL, IHL, ECHL, 12 seasons in Europe, DEL Germany, EBEL Austria. He represented Team Canada at the Spengler Cup 1999, Sweden Games 2000 and Deutschland Cup 2003. Brad has coached 4 seasons at the University of Manitoba – CIS along with being the Assistant Coach twice with U16 Team Manitoba POE team, 2015 Bronze Medal at Canada Winter Games. He has been the Head coach of 2015 U16 Team Manitoba POE team at the Western Bantam Challenge and won the Silver Medal. Brad holds a HP1 High Performance coaching certification from Hockey Canada and Hockey Manitoba. TNW is very excited to have Brad on board!

Doug Garrow – Head Coach -2004 Team

Assistant – Bruce Ericsson

Born and raised in Marquette, Michigan and began playing hockey at age 6. Doug has 4 children and has been married to wife Joanne for 17 years. He has his level 4 USA Hockey certification.
He played on various Marquette Jr Hockey teams and landing a National Championship with the Marquette Electricians in 1984! Doug played in the USHL and then lived his childhood dream and played for the Northern Michigan Wildcats. He lettered for 4 years , from 1986 to 1990, appearing in 134 games, scoring 23 goals and 32 assists. After college, in 1991, Doug started working for IDS Financial and a Financial Advisor and has been in that position for the last 23 years.
He began his coaching career in 1991 also, as the assistant coach for the Wildcats, winning the NCAA National Championship! His coaching at all levels from Mites to College, has given him additional experience and insight of the game. Doug is currently the head coach for the Marquette Redmen High School Hockey team. This is Dougs  2nd year with Team Northwest!

Rod Adolff – Head Coach- 2005 Team

Assistant – Brendon Perrone

Rod, is from Lethbridge, Alberta, and enters his fourth season with the Ice Flyers after re-assuming the head coaching duties on Feb. 14, 2017. The 2014 and 2016 SPHL President’s Cup champion, Rod returns after a stint coaching the ECHL’s Norfolk Admirals and then serving as a scout for the Edmonton Oilers. Rod returns to Pensacola as the “winningest coach” in franchise record with a 101-51-16 record. He was named the Superior International Junior Hockey League Coach of the Year in both 2011-12 and 2012-13 as well as the SPHL Coach of the Year in 2013-14. Rob has been on board with TNW coaching in the past and we’re happy to have him back!

Scott Koberinski  – Head Coach – 2006 Team

Assistant – Cameron Strong

Scott played  4 years at the University of North Dakota and won a national title in 1987. He played 4 years in Swindon, England after college. Scott coached 3 years in Fargo and 3 years in Waterloo,IA in the USHL before attending UND as a volunteer coach for 5 years under Dave Hakstol. He was on the committee for the World Junior Hockey Championship in Grand Forks in 2005 and was the hockey director for the Grand Forks Park District from 2005-2015. Scott is currently the Activities Director for the East Grand Forks Public schools and the head hockey coach for the East Grand Forks Green Wave where they made it to the state tournament this year. Scott coached for Team Northwest about 10 years ago and we are very happy to have him back on board!
